Help help me turn off vibrations

Ok, so I have vibrate checked never, and it still vibrates on an alert, as well as giving the notification ringtone. driving me nuts.... Thanks

I wish there was a way to reduce the intensity of the haptic feedback on this phone. I came from a HTC Incredible, and the haptic feedback on this phone is just strong enough that it bothers me. I got an Otterbox Commuter case yesterday and that seems to help, but it would be nice if you could adjust the intensity.

I know, I too had a DInc, with Haptic Feedback and Vibrate shut off. This Maxx has had me jump a couple of times from the unexpectedness and intensity of the vibrate. I'm sure I'll get more accustomed to it.

Gary,

You can reduce Haptic feedback with the keyboard app Go Keyboard. I prefer it over the stock keyboard, as there are hundreds of themes and color schemes. You can also adjust the height of both landscape and portrait keyboards to your preference. As to your complaint, you can even adjust the intensity of the Haptic Feedback to your liking. The factory setting is 15, but I like mine set a little lighter at 10. Hope this helps a little.
