Android Question

Guest
I have recently copied a bunch of my old music from a laptop that had been in storage for a long time.

Long story short, I retrieved a couple of folders from the recycle bin in Windows XP and now those files will not play in Android. It is as if the files are corrupted however they work fine in Windows. But no matter what app I use they refuse to play in Android.

The folder was ' deleted ' in the recycle bin and I recovered them. Is that why?

On the GPS forum, to which I belong, this topic was brought up a number of times.

It was suggested that the user tries MP3 Val (http://mp3val.sourceforge.net/) to check that the file is ok. Sometimes the file as junk which allows the Windows player to play it, but the GPS player can't, or in this case the 'droid player.

I do not suggest this is case, but offer it as a possibility.

I have used it, and it resolved most (but not all) of my problems. No I was not the OP on the GPS forum!

Best regards

Are you sure they're actually MP3 and not WMA, which might have DRM as well. If necessary check the file suffixes.
