I forgot my pin code and my home button is broken how do i reset my phone?

What's the relevance of the home button? Does it stop you getting into recovery mode for example (wouldn't on any phone I've owned, but these things differ between models).
Repeatedly getting the pin wrong should eventually either prompt you for your Google login or factory reset the device, so if you are ok with a reset that's worth trying. Again, what exactly it does depends on the phone & software version, which you didn't specify.

If you get locked out, go to Best Buy's geek squad or something, They should help. Hadron is right, you did not specify. I guess you can probably hard reset, try holding the on button, It might open up a choice to shut down like my LG Escape 3
