Root Help need on Re-Rooting CM7

My father gave me a nook color I assume its the 1.2 due to the "read" thing that popped up. I found out reading here I have to re-root. HOW?! I have been searching and searching and I am more confused. As I understand now if this was new I would do the 1/5gb partition fix then install clockwork recovery, then CM7.


He has CM7 on there and clockwork recovery so I tried to do the reverting to 1.2 but it didn't work all I am left with is it stuck in "android:eek:
 
Reroot? Not necessarily. Many of the directions are a bit easier if you're rooted so we have directions for rooted and not.

What are you trying to accomplish? Stock 1.2? Newer version of CM7?
 
When you format data, all your dad's accounts and apps will be history.

You could have just done a factory reset to do that as well, but this way you'll end up with a newer version.
 
Ah ok. I downloaded the rom and the google apps. Do I need the overclocking thing? I am pretty sure he did this already(he may have done this exact setup). My SD card is being prepared.
 
Installing the OC thing does not mean you need to race it. :D

Anything your Dad did is going to be erased.

Which rom you doing, stable or RC1?
