Root !HELP! Need PIT file to restore Charge via Odin

Hi Everyone,

I just loaded the Altered Beast ROM but don't really like it. I want to get back to factory setting with root access.

I have the ED1 Tar file, but I need the PIT file to proceed.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Is ODIN telling you that you need the PIT or are you basing it on what you have previously read?

My experience with the Samsung Epic (haven't had to Odin to stock with the Charge yet) leads me to believe that you really don't need the PIT file.

Odin tells me it needs pit. I got a big fat red fail on it. Unless maybe I can try a different tar file? What do you think? If so, where should I get it?

if you are trying to fix a droid charge you do not need the pit and you are using the the wrong tar. try thr ed2 full factory tar it will reset your phone like new it does work you can find it on android centeral under droid charge then looking rooting the charge this works i know ive used it.

It's said that you need the PIT file if you've converted to EXT4.
