Hi to all , any help greatly appreciated , iv`e just installed CM10.1_VJ_4.2.2_V6.3 on my HTC desire ,so far so good and really pleased with it , but i downloaded 2 apps sky sports and sky sports football they`ve gone on to my sd card , then i tried IMDB and got an error message and in my notifications it says storage is low.
i then tried to download "whatsapp" with no joy , it says downloading but nothing happens.
Don`t know what to do , can`t see anything that i can move to sd card.
Please help , i`m stuck.

Welcome to Android Forums. I moved your thread to the dedicated sub-forum where root-related issues with your phone are discussed.

When you say they've gone to SD, what exactly do you mean? I ask because the old-style "move to sd" via settings > apps is deprecated in 4.2.2, so I'd not expect that to be possible. If they are on an ext partition on your card, that should work just the same as if on internal storage (and indeed look the same to the phone).

How much storage do you have?

Thanks for replying , not sure what you mean , when i got the message "storage is low" i looked at all app details and none have the option to move to sd card ,the only 2 i had downloaded were the sky sports ones and they had the option to "move to phone" so i presumed they had somehow gone to the sd card ,
iv`e just tried to install whatsapp again and it just stops at about 75% , when i look at storage it says total space 148mb ,available 12.76mb ,my sd card is an 8gb . forgot to mention i had originaly installed Cyanogen mod 10 4.1.1 , i used revolution to root etc ,could i have messed up when i flashed the vj rom . Thanks in advance

OK, the fact that those 2 have "move to phone" suggests that the ROM is supporting the move to sd feature, even though 4.2 normally doesn't (maybe added by the developer?).

Your storage is indeed low: with less than 10% of the internal space available it won't install any more apps. Is your SD card partitioned? If so you could follow the steps in post 2 of VJ's thread to activate the "a2sd" script. That should give you more space (uses a partition on your SD card as an "extension" of the internal storage, moving part of all of your apps to the partition). If not, read the "root memory faq" in the "Desire All Things Root" sticky post in this forum for a bit more explanation.

Hi ,can`t find VJ`s thread on a2sd script ,can you point me to it , iv`e partitioned my sd card using Mini Tool Partion then downloaded Link2sd and it hasn`t helped much in freeing up any internal storage , close to throwing phone in bin now lol .
Thanks in advance

Steps to execute A2SD script:
Quote:
Open terminal emulator provided in the rom.
Type the following commands
su
a2sd install
Y
N
Y

You press enter after each command

Minitool will have done more harm than good. It's very poor at aligning partitions. I recommend you redo the partitions with Gparted.

If the partition is correctly aligned then titanium back up will tell you on the opening page how much of it is being used.
