Root help needed clockwork recovery

hi guys rooted sim free galaxy s on 2.21 using one click root everthing seems ok superuser seems fine but nothing i can do can get clockwork mod to work at all tried rebooting and update rar but errors every time on update certificate error any ideas ie should i unroot and root using a different method and try again thanks for any help guys
 
Me too, for the idiot's guide. It just seems like there's a hole in the online support for it - trying to search for kernels that support 2e takes you down lots of arcanely written forum posts.

Now, if the secret answer is "you shouldn't be trying custom roms on your phone unless you completely understand the programming code" then fair enough, I suppose. I just find it weird that of all the new phones that must have 3e (or the people who've updated via Kies), there's no easily available, layman-readable guide out there.
 
just gave up in the end and installed darkys rom with walkthrough now got custom rom on and cwm installed
