Help help needed for installing freeX10

Ok since the camcorder fix came out, i think im gonna install froyo 2.2.
i just tried installing freeX10, but no luck.
i have xRecovery working, when i installed freeX10 it just kept rebooting by it self...... (more than 15 times)
And yes i have 2.1 installed right now
luckly i did a backup in xRecovery before i installed freeX10, now im back to 2.1

What build are you running on 2.1? If it is anything other than 2.1.A.0.435 (baseband 2.1.54) or 2.1.1.A.0.6 (2.1.55) (and possibly 2.1.1.A.0.16 (2.1.58)), then FreeX10 Beta4 is not going to work properly as zdzihu designed the ROM to work with those builds/basebands.

If you have one of these builds, then did you do a Factory Wipe, Cache Partition wipe, Dalvik cache wipe, and battery stats wipe BEFORE installing the ROM and Gapps? I know it doesn't say to do this in the installation instructions but it's always a good practice to do this before installing a new ROM (as is making a backup before any major install).
