Root HELP Needed - I've bricked my HTC One M8 :(

Hi,

I seemed to have bricked my HTC handset by trying to do an OTA update by reverting to stock recovery and now it won't boot past the HTC one startup screen. I've managed to get to the fastboot screen but my Windows Laptop doesn't seem to be communicating with the phone.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try this.
Boot into fastboot.
Select factory reset.
THEN,
Select recovery, then do a factory data reset from there as well.
Try to reboot.

If that doesn't work you need to post some more information such as exactly what phone/carrier. Bootloader locked unlocked? S-off? Completely stock? Rooted? All these things matter. Post everything you know you've done with your phone including the exact steps you took to update.

I had the same thing happens... But only I didn't want the ota installed..
Factory restore, wipe cache partition. That worked for me...
