help needed with orientation

Lurker
I can't figure out how to set up a profile so that when I plug my phone in to charge it will lock itself in landscape mode. Can anyone walk me through that please?

I did download an app but this one looks better thanks. I just don't know what to do from there I can't figure out how to make tasker do it.

Probably something like:
Profile name Charging (or anything you like)
State>Power>Power(Source Any for all charging method or AC/USB/Wireless)

Now New Task
Any name you want - App>Load App chose Ultimate Rotation Control
Exit task to kill Ultimate rotation control when charger is unplug.

Note: I don't have Ultimate Rotation control install so can't test but I'll do it when I have some times later.

That worked to launch the app but I still have to click landscape once it launches. I was looking for a way to have it go to landscape automatically.

Is there a specific apps you want in landscape? I think you can go in and set rotation preference for each app.

No I have an appradio with mirrorlink in my car so it projects my phone to the screen. It goes back and forth from landscape to portrait and its very annoying. Its not one specific app.

Is this just for charging in your car?

Try the following.

Download and install nova launcher (if you don't already have it - you may lose some touchwiz features)

Go into the phones settings, turn on auto rotate.

Create a tasker profile with the context as State/sensor/orientation/left or right side. + Power any. Then go on to create your task, usually car mode, display brightness, volumes etc.

Taskers orientation is only available as a profile state, not as a task option, unless you simply just want to enable auto rotation, which can be done in the task. Just not able to "lock" it, it'll go off the sensor.
