Hello, I just received my Galaxy S2 I9100. As the instructions suggested, I plugged in the charger before powering up the device. Its almost 2.5 hrs of charging and I see the charging battery icon remains at 0. I dont see it charging at all. In addition to that, I sense there is quite some heat generated near the camera LED area during charging.

Please advise if there is any work around or should I return this device.

Please help!

try to open your phone without charging. see what it happens.. it just maybe the charger. .

When I received my phone, the battery has power, about half. Try to power on the phone while it is plugged into the charger. If not, go back to the store and return it.

i give this advice. If you think there is something wrong with it take it back NOW not tomorrow. I don't know where you live but i know here in australia phone shops are notoriously bad for exchanging gear if it is faulty after the first day has passed. They will tell you it has to be sent to manufacturer and fixed or replaced from there and that can take up to 2 months!!!!! The phone may only be 1 day old!!!!!

Maybe the shop you bought from is different. I bought directly from our local telstra shop (phone shop with plans) which is MUCH dearer than most places ($860 for sgs2 outright) but i live in a rural town and if i have problems i like knowing i can just take it to town to be repaired/replaced and not travel the several hours to another town.

I find it weird that you don't have any power on your battery, I bought mine sealed and there was half the battery power.

Yes as standard all Phones tend to be shipped with a battery that has some charge in it

Take it back to shop where you got it asap, either a dud battery or charger
