Root HELP! Newly rooted phone- stock rom won't flash!

I successfully rooted my Marquee thanks to this thread. (Verified with Root Checker Basic)

But here's the problem. When I attempt to flash a new rom (I've tried the stock rom as well as the light "undeniable marquee" rom) the same thing happens....

- Rom appears to unpack and install correctly.
- Phone resets, and I ge the "S/W updating" screen for several minutes.
- The phone reboots into Clockwork Mod
- I restart the phone
- The phone boots into the Sprint ID rom!

This is driving me nuts.

My Android version is listed in Settings as 2.3.4
Baseband version LS855ZVC-M6600A-SCAUTSZ-3.0.40T
Kernel Version 2.6.35.7 lgd@android-build #1
Build number GRJ22
SW Version LS855ZV9

I see the phone wants to install a system update, which I'm obviously not doing. I wonder if somehow the Firmware was updated and is blocking installation of custom roms, even though phone is rooted.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

try a fresh download of your rom your download could have been bad.wipe data, cache, and dalvik before flash. good luck

Wipe and flash the rom in cwm. After you flash do another wipe then reboot

Also check to make sure your rooted. Mine didn't stick at first. You can use a root checker from the market
