First of all it's not a good idea to apply a manufacturer or carrier OTA update to a rooted and modified device, it usually ends in failure. Sure you'll need to re-flash the original ROM now, which might get it going again.

Have a look at www.needrom.com and search for your exact LG Tribute model and version. May find the files and instructions for what you need to do.

I have not used this method before and cannot vouch for the firmware or flashing software, but if you're out of options, I'd look here:
http://lgtribute.com/lg-tribute-5-ls675-firmware-download-unbrick-tutorial/

Please note that there are 2 pages to the tutorial. It's not easy to spot at first but before the "comments" section, you'll see links for page 1 and page 2. You'll need to click on page 2 to understand how to complete the process using download mode. I will say, this was a somewhat more common method of unbricking LG's back in the day (using the .dz) and I downloaded the zip to check it out and it seems to be on point with what I'd expect in terms of size and content. So proceed if you wish.

I tried putting my phone in download mode and it says Firmware update and just stays stuck at 0% the whole time

That's normal until the software is launched to start the flash. Be sure to have the LG drivers installed as described. With the firmware downloaded to the PC, open the flash software and navigate to the .dz file to select it, then press the start button in the flash software.

If you've done all that and it's still not working, then check device manager and make sure the drivers applied properly.
