I have already been to the websites that deal with "couldn't install on usb or sd card" and I know that I need to delete the smdl2tmp1.aswec file from the phone and the sd card. The problem I have is that I have deleted the file several times. I even right clicked on the file and made sure that "archive" was unchecked. I delete the file and close explorer - reopen explorer and the file is back on the drive again. I tried deleting all files on the card, reopen explorer and all the files are back. took the time to right click every file to uncheck "read only" or "archive" before deleting and the files came back. I tried reformating the card and finally after over 24 hours, I cancelled it as the green progress line had barely moved. It won't quick reformat. Why can't I delete these files? why do they keep reappearing? It seems that everyone else that follows the instructions, it works for them perfectly.
