Keep in mind, my LG Optimus T is about three months old.
Okay so a few weeks ago, the charger on my phone just stopped charging. I got a new charger which charged the phone just fine, but when the phone is on the charger, the touch screen starts freaking out. If I try to text while the phone is plugged in, when I tap one letter, about three letters on the other side of the keyboard show up on the screen. Also, when I press the Home button, it takes me to the alarm clock page and, after a while, the screen turns black and the numbers for the clock are bright green.
That may or may not have something to do with the way my phone has been acting the last couple of days. When I try to text now, (this is when the phone is not on the charger,) the phone vibrates when I press a key like normal. But nothing shows up on the screen. Even in Swype, the choice menu pops up and I click on the word I was trying to spell, but nothing happens. This isn't just in texting, but also in facebook, google, contacts, and anytime I'm trying to type.
Calling doesn't work either. I tried to call my friend to tell her I wasn't ignoring her, I simply wasn't able to text. But it wouldn't call at all.
I've noticed my phone works temporarily when I turn it off and turn it back on. But I keep getting the same text messages every time I turn my phone back on. Also, it doesn't look like I'm receiving text messages either. This morning when I turned my phone on, I had about four or five messages that were sent to me last night that I never received.
Also this morning, my alarm never went off. I woke up at about nine (thirty minutes before class started), looked at my phone and it said it was 8:20. The alarm should have gone off at 8:30, but for some reason the clock on my phone froze at 8:20. I was lucky this morning when I actually woke up in time to get to class without my alarm, but i don't know how much longer I can rely on that.
Is there anything I can do without sending it in for repair? Being a poor college student I don't have the money to get it fixed and I definitely can't afford a new phone, seeing as how I just upgraded to this phone in the end of July.
Thank you!!
