Help, phone won't charge.

Hi guy's, daughter phone won't charge. Bloody 13 year old girls . She alleged this has only started doing it since the last update of the phone . any help on this matter would be mostly appreciated, as she is buggen the hell out of me lol. CHEERS woody.

have you tried a different charger?

Try restarting phone,mine has done this a few times but usally works again after a restart

There was a recent thread that suggested this procedure and it seems to have worked for many.
Take battery out of phone, plug charger into phone, put battery into phone and then turn on.

Not sure what it does, but it helped many phones, not just S3's.

If that does not help, try different charger and/or cord.

Thanks Guy's, tried everything and nothing seems to work, phone will charge, but takes close to 2 day's for full charge? Any other hints or tips?

Check water indicator. Maybe (just maybe) it got wet or otherwise damaged. Also, though this has never happened before with teenagers, maybe your daughter isn't telling the truth about the phone? Sorry, I wouldn't have said this except for your statement ..."She alleged this has only started doing it since the last update of the phone ."

UPDATE... The phone is now charging, but takes ages to get a full charge, basically 24 hrs, both mine and the wifes only takes 2 hrs tops. Any tips ? P.S. Daughter has dropped the phone, smashed the screen $300 later , but up till now, no other problems?

Have you tried a different battery? Cord? Charger?

Thanks for the help Guy's, don't know what helped, tried everything and the phone seems to be charging properly again.
