Help Please I'm hacked !

i won't go into detail,making long story short- A girl added me on a social networking IM,she didn't even send me any file though she hacked my galaxy y cellphone,i don't know how. I'm ******! if i flash my mobile even then she can hack my phone again ! she said that she sent a "flame2" named virus to my phone What should I do now? please help me, i am unable to buy a new phone.:( and i did one more stupidity that i had connected my infected cell to PC, so i formatted my PC. Damned !

What makes you think she hacked your phone? She might be trying to make you think that she's hacked your phone.

There is no "flame2" virus that would work on Android phones as far as I am aware. There was some PC-based malware named "Flame", however I know that would definitely not work on an Android device.
 
I would also post in your device forum for the proper help and support. Good Luck, and keep us posted, be curious to find out the outcome. I personally have never heard of the Flame 2 and would find it very hard to believe and possible.

oh please,she told me about the photographs that i had in my cell, So this makes me to think she hacked,. I found something suspicious,some photos in my gallery that i havent downloaded from anywhere! except me nobody touches my phone.
 
Hm. Would it be possible for you to download and install Lookout Anti Virus onto your phone and do a scan with it? This should pick up any malware on your phone, unless it is incredibly well hidden.

the info about virus she told,i do not believe,however she also said that its a .bat/flame2 virus,it will root,,urghh whatever. her ASL,her name,was all fake. she was very curious to add me in her list. She claimed/told me about some photos,and other things too that i had have in my cellphone and when she told this thing,My jaw dropped down ! and my phone was runnig very slow.

Yeah, it sounds like that chick has got the O.P. by the FUD balls. And he swallowed it hook, line, and sinker. :D

Also, what social network instant messenger were you on? I'm just curious, it might help me in my search for what this virus actually is.

Also, just for your information, .bat is a file type that will only work on Windows, which also makes me think she hasn't hacked your phone.

NIMBUZZ seems legit, however some of it's users may not be. Have you managed to scan your phone with Lookout yet?

i said that whatever info she told about virus could be fake,but the information she told about my personal file,like photographs in my cellphone, made me shocked ! she said she is a programmer. hufffffffffff
 
Scanning with Avast will be fine.

I also don't see how she could have got the virus on your phone, if there is a virus on there. What personal information is available about you and your phone on NIMBUZZ?

not on NIMBUZZ but in my cellphone, My pics,some other pics too,some personal files,etc about these things she had told me in very detail.
 
Well, and this is just my opinion, I don't think there is a virus on your phone. How she knows what is on the phone also evades me. I would follow DonB's advice and post in the Galaxy Y forums, and see if they can be of more help.
 
i was,I am, also wondering about how could she send a virus to my phone when she didn't even send me any file via niimbuzz.
 
Exactly. I'd wait for some more people to see your threads, and see if they can offer you any advice. As I've said time and time again, I don't think there is a virus on your phone, but still...

But she did hack my phone! That is not tricky that how could she know what is in my phone?! Even no body is believing me that how could she hack my phone just by adding me in her contact list ! well,btw Hacking is quite legit on NIMBUZZ and flooding as well. NIMBUZZ ID can be hacked by knowing its creation date,database or whatever if victim is added in your list.

Social engineering. To which you apparently are susceptible.
Either you, yourself, or someone else, told her about some stuff that's on your phone.

There are thousands of files on your phone that you don't know by heart and would appear brandnew to you. Especially if you're suspicious. Which she made you...:D

Again: she's got you by the FUD balls, and you're falling for it hook, line, and sinker! :D


BTW, what did you do to that chick to make her screw you like this...?

Yes, I understand that, but as Ceverol said, there is no evidence to back this up. Let us know how Lookout does, however if Avast didn't pick anything up I don't think Lookout will.

Also, these suspicious files...Can you give me the name of a couple?
 
The first thing that strikes me when I look at the NIMBUZZ app in the Play Store is the phrase "Connect your address book and share unlimited photos, files, music and videos". You may think not, but are you certain that it isn't NIMBUZZ which has given her access to files, which she's then told you is because she's "hacked" your phone (without giving any believable specifics, as the details she has given are clearly nonsense)? That sounds much more plausible than the things she's claiming. Don't panic because someone says they are a programmer - there are lots of us here, doesn't make us magicians. ;)

There are other ways unexpected images can get onto a phone. I've seen people panic about icon packs, or images from browser caches, before now. And I've recently read of cases where someone's new phone was sharing images over WiFi networks without the owner knowing the feature existed, never mind was on. If you use social networks how do you know she hasn't found stuff there which she's guessed came from your phone, if she's been able to connect up your IDs? I'm sure with a little imagination you can think of other ways of playing games like that.

So yes, check and take precautions, but I really wouldn't panic. But do also follow Don's advice and check in the Galaxy Y forum, where there are people who know your device.

there were two images appeared after i added her, It was some logo,i didn't notice it fully,i immediately deleted them. These two images appeared in my gallery in a folder named "My album". Again i say,it was appeared after i added her.
