Root Help please!! Phone won't shut down!!

I've tried holding the power button down for about 2 minutes, I've tried power + vol down also. I've even tried removing the sim card. Any other suggestions that's not waiting for the phone to run out of battery?

It could be an issue with your power button if it's not turning off, meaning if it does turn off, you won't be able to switch it back on again.

There are a couple of widgets on Play that look to shut the phone down, but as above, what if it doesn't turn on again?

I agree... This sounds like a hardware issue. You prolly need to have physical repairs done to get a functional button.

Another consideration s that you might need a new SIM card now. You shouldn't remove one from a phone while it's running.

Sorry, I actually got it fixed by going outside and holding the power and vol down. Somehow being outside helped? But all is good, thanks for the suggestions!
