I didn't think I first post would be like this..
1. Manufacturer - samsung
2. Model - Galaxy s5
3. Software version - 6.0.1
4. Specifics of the problem - kindustry of new here
5. Specify if the phone is rooted. Not yet I want to root and unlock bootloader too for Developers and when reading threats about it I get lost really need help please
 
If you want to root your S5, then you should watch this.


The bigger question is WHY do you want to root? More people have messed up their phones by thinking they want root when they really don't know why. Many of the things that used to require root don't really need it. Many of the things that do require root can break things that you might want to keep.

So here it a lot more flashing ? And if any thing I just way to learn
 
My first day of jailbreaking on the iPod then I found out how to root and now I found this and just want to do the easiest thing that I can what's unlocking my phone root Flash jailbreaking I just don't want to break my phone and do it the easy way
 
Any root method you use will most likely trip knox as it involves modifying the factory firmware. And as far as I know with the recent iterations of knox it's a trip circuit which means you can never reset it.

While the concepts of jailbraking iOS and rooting Android are the same, the methods are different. The video posted earlier looks as easy as it gets. You are not going to find and app to download that has a "press to root" function, you are going to have to boot an insecure kernel to get root.

If you're doing this just to see what you can do, I'd have to recommend not rooting your only phone. To learn, you'd be much better off picking up a cheap older device from eBay and playing with that. If there's something specific you wish to accomplish, then let us know and we'll be able to advise better.

Well I would like to root my phone I've had a rooted phone I've never had a bootloader unlock I found out I can do it I guess the help topic was asking for help to kind of see which way I should do it to downgrade to use towelroot on kikkat or https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-downgrade-lollipop-5-0-to-kitkat-t3088571 do it
