I have recently switched from windows mobile. I have stored quite a few memos under phatpad application. I am not able to find similar app for android.
I need an app which can store text/handwritten notes with an option for a picture insertion and password protection.
I highly appreciate your help in pointing me in the right direction.

i used multi memo but i dont think it has the photo option. i was looking for a newer one with more options and came across leader note (free)

note everything pro says it has photo notes (but the app costs $4.17)

notepad- star note does photo notes there is a free demo version to try out
(paid app is $1.49)
 
I use Evernote. It's free from the Android Market and it has the photo options your talking about. Nice notepad overall, also has syncing options.
 
Thank you very much for the details. Since, I need a note taking with photo and password option, Note Everything Pro seems the most ideal at this point. Evernote does not seem to have password protection.
I may buy Note Everything Pro, unless a similar one less pricey is available. But how do you search specifically for these options? (notes+photo+password)

i just search for note pad or memo pad. leader note does photo notes and passwords. the photo insert option doesnt look obvious for this one though. right above the keyboard you see a lil green/blue looking square between the U and A press that to insert a pic. also you can change the notepad icon per note and when you long press the note and do edit there is a lil box that says secret (thats for password). you can also change font color. and if one note has more thatn one page at the bottom of the screen you will see a note pad with a pencil and an open book, tap open book and you can change the view of the notes listed within that notepad
 
I found Memo Zzang, a freeware and it does note taking, photo, video insertion and password protection. I think I like it for now. It does not allow handwritten notes though. But, I am happy for now.

I had a suspicion that photos attached in the password protected notes may appear in the gallery or album. It is true that in Memo Zzang, all the images inserted in the password protected file will apear in the album defeating the purpose of password protection.
I think I need to try note everything pro. But the free version does not have password protection though!:confused:
 
i have tried a few others and they all seem to save the image to the photo gallery, however there are a few that will save the photo to the note and you can then delete it from your gallery. kind of a pain to do but that it the only thing i have figured out so far. i did this with springpad. with springpad you can use a pin to lock the whole app, can take a new photo or insert one from your gallery, change themes, scan barcodes, record audio. this has 2 security options. since you have to log in to create an account either log out (then you have to log back in to see notes) or create a pin and stay logged in (everytime you tap the app you are then prompted to enter the pin

oh and you can sync your notes to the springpadit.com website.

BTW its a free app.
