Hiya!

Brand new here, so please forgive me if this is in the wrong place.

Hubby has a Samsung Galaxy GT-I5700 (Spica, I think?) that we had unlocked yesterday (was on 3 - now on o2).

I have seen similar queries on here, but don't quite understand the advice given, so need answers in simple terms, please :)

When we click on Marketplace it asks for a Google Mail account, so we clicked to open a new one, but phone keeps saying "unable to establish a reliable data connection etc. etc" I phoned o2 yesterday who gave me the settings for the phone manually, but still no luck!!

Can anyone please advise a techno-phobe??

Thanks :)

Howzit!! :)

Welcome to the forums dude / dudette! ;)

And don't worry about the tecky stuff dudette

Hmm okay dokey,

Have you gone to:

"Wireless Networks" --------------> "Mobile Networks" --------------> then click / enable "Data Service"

I think thats how it goes on the Samsung Spica dudette but I could be wrong though

Also go to "Main Menu" then select "Sim Tool Kit" and download Sim Settings I think so at least!

Let me know if this helps you.

Hiya Stinky Stinky and thanks for the welcome :) It's dudette by the way lol.

Tried both of these - the data service is enabled, but when I go to the Sim Tool Kit I can't see an option to donwload sim settings :(

Any other thoughts??? :)

Jo
