Right so I'm new to contracts and I got my razr 2 days ago. To start with I could use wifi, but it had problems holding onto the signal. There are like wavy bars when I 'have' wifi but I can't use it now. I live in a village and can make calls and texts, does this mean I should be able to connect to my 3G aswell?
And is there a difference between 3G and 4g?
Also the wifi bars occasionally turn blue, but the straight bars on permanently grey
eah so I'm a little confused, advie would be appreciated :)

I'll take a shot. For the WiFi and the 3G/4G indicators, blue means that they are connected to the internet. Grey means the antenna is on, but not communicating to the web. 3G means 3rd generation cellular data, whereas 4G refers to 4th generation. 4G is much newer and offers a very significant speed increase, if you can get it. I'm with Verizon, and have a good 4G signal in my home, but the deployment is still pretty spotty and mostly in higher population areas. Other cell providers are not even as far along as Verizon in the USA. If you can make calls and texts, you should be able to connect to the internet, but depending on the strength of your signal and the technology in place in your area, you could connect using from 4G all the way down to 1X (an even older and slower technology).

Try moving your wireless router to improve your reception, if possible. Hope some of this helps.
