I have a samsung galaxy s3.....and it was working fine all of a sudden teh freakin' screen won;t turn on. I didnt drop it...i didnt have it near water none of that. When i take the bat out and reput it and turn the device back on, the only thing that lights up the screen is the white 4g network logo and then it goes back to black. The home bottoms on the bottom work and so the does the LED light on top that flashes when I haave a new message. It makes sound so I know it's not dead.. I keep getting messages and i can't view them bcuz the screen won't light up.

It's not the LED panel (the logo shows), it's not the screen or wiring to it (same reason). See if your carrier has tech stores, where they can reflash the phone for you. Or they might have seen the same thing on an S3 of their model and know exactly what the problem is (saving you the expense of their diagnosing it, which could take an hour or two).
