Hello all I just purchased a galaxy tab 2 from a friend its from Verizon it has a sim slot im not sure what p3xxx model it is im in America so... anyway ive tried odin 3 versions 1.85, 1.87, 1.83, 3.04, 3.07, 3.09. and all forms of cwm, twrp, philz touch, recovery switcher I have been trying for a week and for some reason my computer says it's Microsoft visual c++ redistributable package isn't installed for heimdall and when I went to download it and run it my comp says I have a newer version ............................ JUST TERRIBLE. so... if ANYONE could help or suggest anything I would be ever so grateful

You have to install the C++ redistributables (both of them). That's all I'm going to say about that. If you don't know what that means, you shouldn't be trying to do things that can brick your tab.
