Help Help! Power Button

My power button has stopped working! It was starting to go out the past few days meaning that I had to push it repeatedly to get the screen to turn back on. Now it won't do anything. The only way for me to use the captivate is to take the battery out and put it back in eveytime, extremely frusterating? Any suggestions? My warranty is expired, of course, and I am not due for a upgrade till April.

Also, I have no sound for some reason on the phone now as well? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If it were mine I'd find a local cell phone repair shop. One in my area does repairs while you wait.

Is there an app by chance to utilize the volume rocker to come out of sleep?
