Help Help!! problem with my myTouch 4g slide

It all started last night. The screen works perfectly fine but when i slide out the keyboard, the screen turns black. Then when i slide the keyboard back in, the screen is all normal again.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance

looks like a cable somewhere is broke, which causes the LCD to stop working with the keyboard slid out. i used to see this all the time on flip phones, the LCD would either go all white or all black due to a worn out ribbon cable that connects the two parts together.

I have moved this thread into the Mytouch 4G Slide forums, however, it looks like you might need to contact T-Mobile about a warranty as it looks like your device's cables, like Nick stated, have a short of some sort in them to the LCD screen.

Is it a matter of replacing the screen? the cable? Not worth the bother?
