Help Help re Nexus 7 EMail program

[FWhite300]

New Nexus 7 owner and getting up to speed. My question is when I want to reply to an email, but only send a portion of the email I received.

I've figured out how to "select" portions of the text. That gives me a header at the top that says Text Selection; Select All; Copy; and Share.

Nothing says Cut. or Delete?

I'm sure it's something basic, but can anyone explain this to me?

In this situation, I have forwarded the message without sending it to anyone, and in the fwd before you send it you can edit text, and copy what you want then discard the message, reply without quoting automatically and insert it yourself.
It's a pain, but it works.
Hopefully someone has a better idea.

Tapping "Respond Inline" on the compose window will allow you to edit the text -- unfortunately you lose the formatting.

OK, clunky, but it works! Thanks for the tip.
