Help, reboot with force close error

Hey guys, hoping somebody can help me out here. My girlfriend has the Droid 3, not rooted and as of today she's having issues. It actually started last night when she got the system update. Whats happening is the phone is restarting and once it turns back it, she immediatly has a few things pop up that say they are not responding and she has to force close them. She closes those and the phone shuts off and restarts and repeats. It does this over and over again until she removes the battery completly then it will work correctly but it seems like just a few hours before it happens again. I have the X and never had reboot issues like this. I used to have issues where it would reboot but it never had me force close things that caused it nor did it repeat multiple times until i removed the battery.

I don't know whats causing this but I should add that yesterday she added widget locker and setup a lock screen. I'm not sure if that's causing it but when she is having this issue widget locker is not even running. It's showing the stock lock screen and then the messages pop up. Widget Locker is not one of the things that come up to force close. This happened earlier so I'm not completely sure what they were but the first one is something along the lines of Motorola.Service, this will happen again i'm sure so I will update with specifics once I see it again. It's already happened 4/5 times today. Any idea's here?

Ok it wont even turn on now. It says "DROID" and then the red logo comes on but it never starts up. It just keeps saying DROID and showing the red logo for about 10 seconds before restarting again. We're not actually getting to the homescreen or anything. I'm thinking about uploading a video of this as I feel I'm not describing it very well.

Well we called verizon and it turns out the update toasted the operating system. They are sending us a replacement device. We tried a system reboot but it wouldnt restart when it was supposed to. Hope nobody else runs into this.
