Help regarding memory card

Hey guyzz i am having problem with my galaxy ace.recently whn i went ti search my songs nd pics they were deletad automatically!:confused: Whn i went to task manager it showed me dat my phones memory which was 1.12Gb full have come down to 610Mb!!:eek: I was unable to recognize wat had happened to it ncauz it all happened suddenly nd ma phone is only 1 month old...Plz help in giving me de solution of of it.... Thnx in advance
 
erm.. srry so you had music then went to play music and it was all gone and the mp3's have actually been deleted?check the memory card has not come loose by going to settings, storage, unmount sd card, then mount again wait for a few minutes for the ace to load everything from the sd and hopefully it will be fixed.

No, it's equivalent to adding another hard drive to your computer as opposed to adding ram. It may slightly lengthen boot and scan times because of increased size.
 
Yes it will effect the performance slightly, as OverByter said above its similar to pc, if you increase the hard drive, the memory scans and boot time will be longer, every time you delete/add/modify something on the sd card the phone runs a media scan and at that will be quite long, hence the performance lag.

I have used an 8gb class 4 card in the past, the lag was quite insignificant.
You can use a 16gb card but make sure its atleast class 4 or 6.
