Root HELP! removing custom ROM

Hi,

I have just recently rooted and installed 2.1 sense custom firmware on my HTC Hero but i do not like it - drains battery, bit buggy etc. i was wondering how easy it is to go back to an official rom. anyone got any procedures?

You need to find someone who is willing to give you their nandroid that matches the one you need!

Try a different ROM first, Villian 5.22 is meant to be good

but you should have really done a Nandroid backup

I would suggest trying modaco 3.2 before you revert to a stock ROM - it's mostly the same as the stock ROM, but it's faster and with cool features like wireless tethering, apps2sd, wavesecure titanium backup etc. Plus you get to keep root access.

Yeah I would have to vote modaco 3.2 here. It's just like the stock firmware, but tweaked to perfection.
