Hi there,
I am in a desperate need of help. I have looked around but could not find answers to my problem.
I have the following problem:
I purchased a second hand Samsung Galaxy S2 from a shop today. I had Samsung Galaxy S before. This new set has MIUI running. I want to go back to standard android that comes with the phone. My main reason for this is that I took a backup of my old phone, using kies, and now I can not restore my contacts etc back to the new phone because Kies can not be used with MIUI.
I am new to playing with phone's OS and will appreciate if someone could guide me to simple steps of restoring the phone back to its original OS where kies can be used. I will appreciate if someone could tell me from where I can download the OS (which version) and how I install it.
The new phone did not come with any CD or any backup OS files. In other words, I have no files that I can use as a base to install the previous version.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind Regards
Ahmerin
