HELP: Root checker says no root, some apps say I have! HELP!

OK, I know the title is unclear.
First, my device is the Acer Iconia One 7B-1.
I was just browsing the Sky Go all a while ago, found a TV show I wanted to watch, clicked it, and something popped up: "Sky Go does not support this feature on rooted devices".
Now this is where I am just so confused. After getting this notification, I go and download a root checker to be absolutely sure.. Root checker says I don't have root access!
Now I do remember trying to root multiple times with no luck a few months ago. I used those one-click apps multiple times with no luck. I think that this is the problem. I haven't done a manual root. I have performed a factory reset. I tried to clear the cache partition, but it failed with an error. After that I could startup my device, being stuck on the logo screen. That's what forced me to Factory reset.
So, with that being all I need to say, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME! I'll post screenshots of the root checker stats. Screenshot_2015-06-15-10-59-57.png Screenshot_2015-06-15-11-00-03.png

The rooting apps have obviously left something behind in /system that sky go is detecting and I think the only way to get rid of them is to "reflash the firmware".
I have no idea how to do that on your device so you'd be best to ask in your device forum, Google it and check Acer's website

So would reflashing the system wipe everything? I've got no problem with that, just there is another problem I probably should've mentioned. My battery is permanently stuck at 1%. I don't know, I think it's the battery.. So would that affect the process of this "reflashing"? By the way, thanks for your reply! I'll log onto that webpage now.

I googled it and found this post on the Acer forums.
Do you think this would do the trick?Screenshot_2015-06-15-12-57-45.png

Yup that looks right. I just hope the PCs USB keeps your battery alive throughout the process (does your battery last longer than 1% should and it's just the indicator that's wrong) .
Make sure it's as charged as possible before you begin.
I don't know if it will wipe data on an acer but backup anything important just in case.
Good luck

Thanks for your help! I'm gonna install the Firmware tonight. Yes, the battery does last longer than 1%. Not quite a full charge time but it stays alive for about 3-4 hours screentime. I left it locked for 2 weeks, came back and it was still on! Anyway. Thanks for your help today. I'll tell you if it worked!

I decided to abandon that tool i showed you last night. After seeing some negative comments, i searched up for a new one. To my surprise, I found one with no negative comments, over 1500 downloads and so on! It's over 1.6GB, probably meaning it definitely includes the 4.4 OS as stated in the description. So I'm gonna leave that finish downloading and then, I think this is my 3rd time saying this, I will tell you how it went! And yes, I'm hoping it fixes the battery monitor. Thanks for all you help!
