Root Help? (ROOT) Samsung GS3

NexarHD

Lurker
Hi, I decided to do this because I have read through a lot of of root problems and need help extremely bad.

I have just recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Kingo root cause it's the only root that is easy for me and my google play store is crashing even though it's not even open, because I have deleted google play from my system apps, now I go ahead to download lucky patcher so I can make google play work or just make sure its installed as a system app, now when I start up lucky patcher it doesn't allow me to fix google cause it needs root permissions and says I need to download SuperSU. I download SuperSU the latest apk because google play doesn't work and I try to install the binary because play store don't work and binary installation fails I press the reboot button and try this 50 times and still fails to install, so I looked up on how to install the binary through flashing the device install through recovery mode and still fails to install, now I am at a point where I need help because I don't know what to do, as I have said I have looked google over a thousand times and I can't see this issue anywhere. Please help I want Google play to work so I can play the apps I bought!

You can always return to stock and start over:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/fix-s3-to-factory-unroot-stock-recovery-t2323847
And I am not sure,But you may be able to side load Google Play app,I don't remember how to do that.So you would have to get help with that.
But if you decide to return to stock,Be sure to remove your sim and/or sd card before flashing back to stock,As it will wipe the cards clear. And you can put them back in when your done.

I have done those steps before and nothing happened I just want to be able to use play store with my rooted phone, and reseting to factory defaults does not help me at all and still will say that my phone is rooted, but I want to be able to use my PS3/4 controller to play my apps!

When I mean return to stock,I mean Flashing the Stock Firmware.Which will return the phone to like when you first got it.Everything back on the device.

EDIT:BTW,I have moved your thread to Root - Samsung Galaxy S3 forums.

Read the link I posted above and follow the instructions word for word. And that will put the phone back to when it was brand new,Then you can re-root your phone. But this time be aware and cautious what you delete.

Ok, I dont have a pc to do this on and all it is, is that when in recovery it won't veify my superSU.zip and I can't modify my su in systems folder using a folder exolorer!

You need pc to flash back to stock.

I've never tried it but maybe there is a way to flash gapps without pc restoring what was deleted. Anyone have any thoughts if it would work?

Hey, thank you guys for helping, I reinstalled Google play and lucky patcher finally worked and I can use Google Play Store now!

Looks like I don't need a flash, but maybe when I want to buy a new phone I'll sell this one and flash it later.

:)
