HELP: Rooting my I9100G

So I'm keen on rooting my I9100G to remove the bloatwares. However I am confused by the great amount of tutorials available out there (for non-Gs and Gs), and so far these are my findings:

My phone has the following specs:
Baseband Version: I9100GDXLP6
CSC: I9100GOLBLP6
Kernel Version: 3.0.8 dpi@DELL150 #2 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 23 19:18:19 KST 2012
Build Number: IML74K.DXLP6
No external microSD. My internal storage, however, I called "sdcard" (weird indeed).

I have managed to narrow the list of tutorials down to these:

1. [forum.xda-developers - thread number 1679778] Root access for ICS 4.03 on I9100G from XDA

2. [androidforums - thread 3805813-post7] Galaxy S2 gt-i9100G: All things root

My current dilemma:

3. Which version of Odin should I exactly use? 1.83? 1.85? or 3.x?

4. Should I backup my phone before rooting? If yes, should I use NAndroid? Or something else?

4. I have had my S2 driver manually installed by plugging in my phone BEFORE I had Kies installed in my laptop. However, the Kies I installed doesn't work - it can't connect to my phone. I'm afraid that it might mean something went wrong with the drivers installed. Is it?

5. My "baseband version" is I9100GDXLP6 but the people in XDA says to "flash" the LP7 kernel. Does this mean that my phone is of an older version? Should I be looking for an LP6 instead? Is it okay if I just proceed?

I would personally prefer the first method (at least I sorta get what the person is saying), but I'm equally concerned about what happens after rooting my phone:

6. I don't quite know what is USB Jig about, and I would definitely prefer a method that wouldn't increase the flash count of the phone, so as to not void the warranty. But if it's really inevitable I don't mind voiding my warranty too.

7. Is the "yellow triangle" only present on startup? Will it have any effect on the phone during usage?

8. What other questions should I ask myself?

Really appreciate all of your help here. Thank you!

Only able to answer the last few questions, need to leave the other techy stuff to the smarter!.....

The yellow triangle will only appear on start up and has no beating on how the phone performs one started.

Unfortunately I don't believe there is a way to avoid the flash counter thing, however it is possible to reset it using a jig!

If you can find the lp6 kernel go for it, if not the I believe that the 7 would be fine, kies can often be hard for people too get started,I weirdly found out easier to connect since my fianc
