Help rooting skypad alpha 2???

My friend just got this tablet... he wants to root it and flash a custom rom on it, so is there a tutorial or something that someone can give me? I researched online but couldnt find anything so I am kind of stuck. If it is rootable can you also suggest some custom roms? Thanks

The alpha 2 comes prerooted, or at least I can use rooted apps without any problems. As for custom roms, this tablet isn't very popular so there's no developer community for it. If he hasn't already, I'd suggest that he install the ICS beta as it's currently good enough to use as a daily driver.

I'm having a lot of trouble updating to ICS. Any suggestions? I'm not new to rooting, modding etc., but I'm having a lot of trouble with this tablet.

It took me a few tries before I could get it to update to ICS.

Do you have any specific problems that are preventing it from working?

Huh. I had no issues upgrading to the 4.0 beta (2). The instructions were a tad confusing, I must admit.

The only part that went wrong for me was driver installation. Took me a few tries before the drivers installed correctly. And I agree, the instructions were pretty confusing.
