Hi and welcome to the forums! 
It seems to be generally accepted that as this is a relatively unknown brand, rooting is something that has not been looked into with any great detail. With that in mind, advice seems to be don't root as there is a very real possibility that the device will be bricked.
Probably not what you wanted to hear. Sorry.
It is always worth registering on the forums though as we have thousands of people in situations just like you and it may be that someone on here with the same device has some good news for you.
