Help Help - S2 gets super hot and drain battery within minutes !

Hello all.
My S2 started doing this a few days ago.
In standby mode, without me touching it, it will get super hot
and the battery will drain within minutes !

After I restart it the phone is fine, until the next time this happens.
So far it seems random.

I went into the battery info and the biggest consumer is Andorid OS taking over 80% .

The phone is a rooted S2 (Bell, Canada) running the latest official ICS.


Any ideas why this happens ?
Maybe I can install something that will alert or log what is causing this ?

Sounds like you have a rogue app or setting... a Factory Reset is needed:-

Download Watchdog Lite.
Add its widget to ur homescreen. It will tell you which app is using the most processor. Uninstall or kill it, whatever works for you
