Root Help Sd Card

I still can't move my apps to sd . I added the two lines where it says move to sd card but when I do it , it still saves to my internal not external:confused::confused::confused:

Watch the storage size used after moving to sd card. Entire apps don't get moved it only moves part of the app to usb storage some of it has to stay on the phone side.

It stays the same . It says that it was moved but it dosent go anywhere stays on internal . Why does it say emulated? Nothing gets moved to sd it stays on internal

Unfortunately for me, my issue seems to be the Move to SD button is greyed out. I inserted the lines in build.prop and rebooted a few times now, making sure the lines are there each time but still no active Move to SD button. I too get that 'external storage is emulated' message as well.

Well yea, but in my case no app has the option. I'm thinking I should probably force it using a third party app like Link2SD, but then with the external storage being emulated in internal, the apps don't really move. I'm beginning to think there is something else to it.

Yeah, I haven't bothered trying because of the emulation. Its actually the internal sd being emulated though.
The phone doesn't actually have an internal sd, it just uses the same data space as the Rom and system so as far as I can tell apps on sd would be pretty pointless unless you're using an ext4 style a2sd script with a partitioned sd card.

As far as I know, Link2SD does support scripts on Ext4 partitions. I'm going to give that another try instead of relying on the OS Move to SD option since that isn't working for me. I know last time on the LG OM running Android 2.0, Link2SD worked great. Maybe it's a matter of reformatting my SD card, resetting Link2SD's options and moving apps through it. I tried it before adding the lines to build.prop, so maybe now it'll work. I'll post my findings at a later time.
