Help Help! SMS auto converts to MMS!

[Teribus]

Hello.

I have done a quick search and can't find anything to help me out.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 mobile phone here in the UK on the orange network.

Tonight I have tried to forward a long text message and the phone wants to convert this to a multimedia message.

I had this once before but I had hit send before I realised it happened. Sadly rather than sending as a free multiple page text message, it cost me money as a multimedia message.

Is there any way to switch this feature off?

Thank you.

The default sms app converts to MMS after 100characters or so
You can install GO SMS or another SMS app and then you can send SMS with a length of 3x160 characters
