Help Help - stuck in red eye during start up sequence

Just noticed (cause I stuck it in the holster) that boot up did not work. Red eye is stuck and I think I need to pull battery. Hesitant to stick something sharp in compartment to pry out the battery - any advice?

I Googled a how to and I see there's supposed to be a pull tab. I do not have one.

OK - get this. I phoned VZW CS and we determined that the VZW store associate that setup my X must've pulled off the tab as it is supposed to be attached to the battery. She is noting in my acct that they should replace my battery with one having a tab in case I should need to pull battery again. I had to use a pocket knife blade to pry out the battery against my better judgment.

BTW - the battery pull fixed the red eye boot problem...

FYI the battery pull is not attached to the battery. It is attached to the Droid. Common mistake made by the sales people is to pull it off because it looks out of place until you realize it is there for a reason.

It's a little disturbing that the CS rep did not know this. I know they handle tons of phones, but this was the flagship not too long ago...
