HELP: Texts from #@VTEXT.com

Did that end up working for you? I tried it and it didnt work so Verizon changed my number. I've since still been receiving this messages and now I am trying to get out of my contract because I am so fed up with it. Would be interested to know what happened with your situation
I am having the same problem. I have recevied 679 messages in 5days. I called verizon and they had me put a nickname on my account profile. It didn't work. please help. i've had my number three years i dont want to change it and from what i've read that would not work.

Login to My Verizon and navigate to Internet spam blocking. Then add @VTEXT.com in one of the blank spaces and check both boxes and hit apply. You shouldn't Get any more random messages.

This is an old-as-dirt thread that's mostly concerned with Verizon service, so my apologies in advance for both the necrobump and the skuzzing up of the thread.

Anyway, I just got one of these sp@m messages from @vtext.com:

SUBJ:Register for free webinar about our

week. Reply yes to register.(End)

Thankfully, AT&T (my carrier) has a lovely program: forward the message to SPAM (7726), and they send instructions on what to do next (in this case reply to the message with STOP and BLOCK); I also got a popup asking if I wanted to register the number as spam, which I did (thanks android 4.1.2?).

I've gotten odd ones of these thru the years at various times, and in each and every case AT&T actually acted on them and they never ever repeated. AT&T also has their "Mark Thr Spot" app, which worked fairly well on my old iPwn.

If this is a Verizon thing, and they're dinging customers for it, Verizon should get slapped silly for it.

Any more info is welcome; I hope my 2 cents helped.
