Root Help the new guy out?

Hi, I'm very new to this whole root and Rom business, but I'm looking to get the most out of my phone here. I got the whole clockworks basix and electric sheep working on my phone, but I can't help but feel like I'm missing some bits and pieces to get the most use out of my phone. All help is appreciated.

You can try these on for size if you don't have em yet

Oh also is there anything else I can use to help boost my battery life. It's decent as is, as I got an extended battery, but I'm sure I'm missing some stuff here.

I have tried several battery saving programs. So far 2x has been the best. There is a problem with data switching in the LTE indulge, most notabley with battery defender ultimate / beta. It turns the data off, and you need to restart your phone to get data again. I un-installed until they fix it, as they are aware of the problem. 2x on occasion will be problematic, however, if it happens, I turn on airplane mode for 30 seconds, then off, and all is OK. I also have CPU tuner and notice a 75% improvement.

I also would like to know what the v6 supercharger is. Also, if the new radios will help, and who has had positive or negative experiences with the new radios. Is the tether program better than barnacle? Any reason using that over barnacle?

That helps a lot! I'm also curious about this radio business. Like I said, I'm completely oblivious to the vast majority of what people say on here ha.

Yeah try using a CPU manager and apply the smartass scaling, you'd definitely notice an improvement there, my stock battery once lasted 22 hours that way. now it averages 12 hours with moderate use

v6 supercharger is just memory management, it tweaks the os to auto-kill apps when it reaches a certain amount of ram full, and to my understanding k0nane said it isnt needed since he already optimized the values.
As for the radios, it supposedly reduces power by switching to 3g when not using 4g, but that has caused me a few headaches, stuck on 3g in places that have full 4g coverage.
Wifi tether uses the built-in tethering on the phone, and usually runs less hot than the alternatives.

You can't tether a ps3 or an xbox360 with barnacle. But you can with the wifi tether.

I'm sure you already know of the LTE On/Off shortcut and to shut 4g completely off by using the dial pad right? If not I will explain and give links to the threads where they are discussed.

I know the whole **583385## business, but I don't know the shortcut.

It turns off 4g but it will get turned back on after a phone call so youll have to turn it off again, some dnt like it because of that but its good to knw and have anyways. Just go to the Android Market and dwnload the app Anycut, then hold dwn on an empty spot on your screen and click Shortcut, then select Anycut>Activity and scroll down until you see, "LTE functionality test", click that and you should now have a shortcut on your homescreen for it. When you click on the shortcut that is now on your screen youll see the options at the top to TurnOn and TurnOff, those will do just tht for 4G. Now if you have Golauncher or LauncherPro installed, you can hold dwn on one of the apps in the dock bar and click gesture then shortcut and so on... then all youll have to do is swipe across that app and turn 4g on/off :D
