When i connect my Note to my Win 7 laptop..

It shows up as a media device ..

And when i drag drop files to notes internal drive or sd card it offers to convert them ..
I decline..

But transfer takes soooo long...

If i take out the MicroSD card and put it into laptops reader transfer in 10x..

I want to mount my Note like a normal external drive.. please help..

It worked like so with mu s3

How does it work for you?

Thank you..

I am on n900 on 4.4.2

Connecting it as a media device is your best option.

It shouldn't be connecting terribly slow compared to plugging the MicroSD in the computer.

Are you certain the speed differences/gap is that large?

Are you using the cable that came with the phone...some replacement cables do not transfer data...I have a cheap charger cord and it doesn't transfer data only allows for charge.

Yes gap is huge..
I will time it

I have few 3.0 external hard drives and
Transfer is 5x .. Will time it

Yes original white cable.. 3.0 :/

Point being how are the speeds for you?
Time a transfer of a 700Mb .avi file to internal storage
And then
To external SD

All via note 3...
