Help Help! Turn off auto-complete in text msging

Don't know how this happened, but somehow the auto-complete got turned on in my messaging, and I do not want to use that feature. I find it annoying. Is there a way to turn this feature off?

Settings> language & keyboard> select your current input method and change it's settings accordingly.

Did that, nothing changed. Still does auto complete. Called local TM store, told me the same thing.

Which keyboard are you using? Swype or touch input?

I am using the touch keyboard. I used to be able to switch between the two on the screen, but I no longer have that option.

I have a Casio Commando, with Froyo 2.2

Turn off auto-complete:

Menu
Settings
Language & keyboard
X9 Text Input Settings
Language & settings
English (current setting); (there’s a “>” symbol to the right)) press it
Keyboard Input (then another menu pops up)

This is where you’d turn off Auto-correction, Word Completion,
Next Word Prediction, Word Reselection, etc.

But seriously though, the above method has zero relevance to the mytouch 4g as the stock keyboards are touch input, swype, and dragon. The op also clearly started that they adjusted the settings already and still had the issue. They even contacted tmo who walked them through the correct process as well..thanx for trying though.
