DragonSlayer95,
Using ROM Manager I verified that ClockworkMod was flashed. It was at the current version.
I wouldn't know what to do if I were to manually go into recovery.
Yoinx,
Yes, I used the pwnage tool to root, and that was successful.
Thanks for the suggestions.
When it rains, it pours...
While the phone was rebooting, I picked it up from my desk. It slipped out of my hands and landed on my lap, with the back coming off, and the battery falling out.
I put the battery back in and powered it up, only to watch the phone ask me what language I wanted. The phone did a factory reset.
It must have done this, since the phone was in the middle of rebooting when the battery came out.
Usually, I have good luck with technology, but I'm starting to feel like Schleprock. (you older people will know who I'm referring to.)
You should have had two options. 1 to root. The other to unlock the bootloader.
Since when? I use Rom Manager to do backups all the time, especially when I want the correct date. You're just advised not to install CWM Recovery through there as it doesn't always flash correctly. You can't do a back up using ROM manager, you have to go into CWM and do it from there.
