Root HELP! Very Low Volume line out on Gingerbread CM7-Ascend 05142011

Hello there! I was finally able to root and install a custom ROM thanks to your instructions and helpful advice (here is the original thread http://androidforums.com/ascend-all-things-root/714772-urgent-help-dumb-question.html#post5786050 , I know its been a while. This ROM is great however a few issues arose and I am going to post them separately as I am sure that it would help others right on the tittle who might be experiencing the same problems with this ROM and who could benefit from the same solutions or work arounds (if there are any).

Well, as the tittle says I have Very Low Volume when using the Line Out/ Hedaphones output. :(

I haven't tried with the headphones the phone came with but I definitely tried it with a mini stereo adapter (it has a very small jack for headphones) and then connected the phone to a set of computer speakers. I cranked the speakers while I tried to listen to Pandora Radio and there was audio but the Volume was Very Low compared to other similar devices I've connected to the same set of speakers in the past (mostly phones). I have a second Ascend I could try (exact same model M860) which is running the same ROM and see if the problem is related to a specific handset (in fact I should have done that first), but I have to look for it, I don't know where it went lol.

I have to note that when I play Pandora through the speaker phone it actually blasts but it is not a substitute to a set of speakers, I mean, as expected, the shower sounds much louder than the embedded speaker in the phone. Maybe I'm posting in the wrong website and should be posting on a plumbers website in the "Tips for a softer sounding shower" thread. :D
As far as I can see the problem isn't Pandora considering that it sounds very loud when using the Ascend internal speaker but instead something related to the way the ROM handles the Volume that goes to the Line Out/Headphones output.

Unless this is a known issue I have yet to conduct a couple more tests.
  1. Use the original headphones and see if it sounds loud enough
  2. Get my other Ascend and hook it up to the computer speakers and see if it has the same problem

I hope to hear from you guys soon (maybe I should get hearing aids if I can't solve the problem or if I don't hear from you lol)

Regards!

Thanks in advance for your advice!
