help... video player not working

Right now my video player does not seem to be working. I tried everything for the youtube app to the browser even to videos that I recorded. It says video cannot be played. Is there anything that I can do to fix it? I have a prem rooted g2 with htc sense form the desire z rom and I have it overclocked to 1.4 ghz.

Try another player. It may be that certain system files are damaged, so if a reboot or SD card format doesn't help, you may have to do a phone reset.

That seems like your problem. Try flashing back to a stock rom.
