Help: Viewphone 3 ROOT problem

Hi I just bought a new phone " Viewphone3" from Viewsonic company.
This is a android phone and I am new to android.
I just want to root my phone and install latest firmware which is 4.0.
Currently the phone running with android 2.3.7, baseband version:MP, Kernel Version: Apps_2.6.35-perf,
Build Number: 5057_4_39C, android system recovery 3e.

Some other usefull information if required to analyse is
SWVer=4.39C
Model=FAD
HWVer:0x010d1007
RF band id=GSM_BAND_1234,WCDMA_BAND_128
FTM_ver=3.590
SW_Model=5057

As far as I know I have to root my phone first and then have to go software update.
But I tried googling for a week and tried many methods root my phone but it fails to do so.

1) Z4root : it keeps on waiting for hours nothing happend.
2)universal_gb_root_VXX.zip : tried with all the versions but error is "E:signature verification failed"
3)UnlockRoot : Failed to get shell root
4)SuperOneClick v2.3.1.0 : it is also not routing my phone


So I fed up with those softwares..
Could you please help me out to root (and install updated software) my phone..?
