Help - WiFi Question

I have been lurking here and trying to decide on whether to pull the trigger on the Eris or wait. I have been using a BB Pearl for 2+ years. Something has come up this week that may get me over the hump, my pearl has started having really weak signal at my house. I have a linksys G router at home and I am wondering how well the Eris wifi connection is likely to work in lieu of the cellular connection.

I would appreciate the help, I tried the search, but really didn't find the answers.

My wifi works great, I did a speed test and with a wifi on my phone downloads 3.64 mbps and uploads at .54 mbs. On the 3g upload is .74 and download is 1.80 mbs. now I don't know if you can make or recieve calls any better if you use the wifi like you can on the iphone.

My concern is really about phone use. Calls are critical to my business.
