Help with android 2.2 wifi!

Greetings!

I have explored lot of forums ..tried about everything ! wifimanager,Hidden SSID enabler ,Wifi ACE...cant seem to resolve the issue of android 2.2 not connecting to Hidden SSID !!

Cannot broadcast the SSID since i dont control that !

Appreciate any pointers to resolve this never ending issue

This is just s theory, really, but it *might* work, since Android remembers networks.

Take wireless router and set it up with the same SSID and security and IP scheme as the network you wish to connect to, only set the router to broadcast the SSID. Once you've connected successfully, go to the hidden network and see if you can connect. You might have to go into settings>wireless & networks>WiFi settings and connect manually if it can't discover it.
